System of Record

The single source of truth that everyone agrees on. Finance has the ledger. HR has employee records. For AI execution, most organisations have nothing. Covia becomes the system of record for what actions were attempted, which were approved, which succeeded or failed, and what changed as a result.

Unlike logs, a system of record is active rather than passive. Logs sit downstream and explain what happened after the fact. A system of record sits upstream: it enforces rules at the moment an action runs, keeps one authoritative ordered history of every action and its provenance, and supports replay, rollback, and audit. Logs explain accidents; the system of record prevents them.
